For those without a musical background, traditional guitar requires extensive practice in finger flexibility, chord transitions, and right-hand techniques. This instrument allows for the generation of chords and rhythms through gestures and simple operations, significantly lowering the difficulty of learning music. For some people, things that they may never have the chance to achieve in their lifetime can now be realized; things that would take many years to accomplish can now be achieved almost immediately. I think that if someone is truly passionate about something, in this case, learning how to play guitar, they will be willing to put in the effort, there are no excuses, if you can't play the guitar, it's because you didn't even try and gave up instantly. When you truly love something, you commit to it and no matter how hard it can be at times to keep going despite the pain, you'll find a way to reaching your goal. I can't deny that technology has made great improvements but it makes me mad the fact that people now will be able to "play" the guitar without putting in the hard work, like musicians who play real instruments. When i first started learning the guitar, my fingers hurt so much, i couldn't strum, i struggled switching chords, but in the end i made it, and so, if i made it, others can as well. The issue here is that people are lazy, they rather take the easy way than struggle, like we did.

Learning the guitar is great, we love making guitars possibly more than anyone, and LAVA GENIE is something else. There are many average music lovers wanted to make some music, especially play along with singing, as well as spark creativity and explore sounds. It's really important to let the music making process accessible.

we are used to remembering the placement of chords on each fretboard, on this lava genie we learn again the sounds on each fretboard. this will be tiring. and it would be great if there was a special button on the genie to transpose the notes up and down

Amazing！I think this kind of product's positioning is total different with the traditional guitar, that is for the people those who do not have any skill or time to learn and play a traditional guitar. Ik you're probably a bot, but if you're not, hear me out. This needs to be compared to a guitar, it is the same shape, and it's trying to be a guitar for those who haven't had any musical experience. It isn't good enough to be a learning guitar, and isn't in the same boat as the Otamatone. The Otamatone is a completely separate instrument, whereas this is imitating a guitar, while not providing any real benefit over the real thing. At $400, I could see a market for this. But that market is extremely small, and very niche.

@@WhoTookMewtwocoder Oops, I'm not a bot, look, the instrument is not necessarily aimed just at beginners, if we were to compare, even with the structure of a guitar, we can confirm that this instrument doesn't even have strings, honestly, what is essential in a guitar is not is present in it, this instrument is made to disperse, its technology develops creativity and many things, it will probably have a very niche audience, but to compare it with a guitar, it should at least try to be a guitar, like a Lava Me 1, 2 or 3, this is like a keyboard full of effects, it's just a new instrument with a high level of technology, I've been playing the guitar for 5 years and honestly I see myself relearning how to use it, I wouldn't benefit from the guitar at all other than my knowledge in musical theory and percussion, there is nothing to compare with if not the chords, the body and the beat that this instrument carries.

Honestly, you are right, this is more comparable to a keyboard than a guitar. However, I still don't see the appeal of a guitar-shaped keyboard. That being said, I definitely think this is a good bit of technology, and I think the other LAVA ME products are more deserving of the 'guitar' title. I'm not hating, I just don't understand the rationale behind this device. Respect you for explaining your side tho ❤️

So we will have 2 product lines in the future, one is instruments, the other one is consumer samplers. One is aiming for pushing the boundaries of what musicians can do. The other one is for pushing the boundaries of what average music lovers can do. For our friend Maria, she's a really really delightful and lovely person, and wouldn't it be better to have a bit more smile in front of the camera than make it too serious? :)
