plus that's not even a new camera either. it's been over 3 years since they released it. I bought it during pandemic and it's a great camera but yeah it's kinda ewwwww they recycle 1080p camera with additional stand

I like the arm but this is just a big document camera. The IPEVO doc cams are fantastic and cost between 99-230 bucks. You can also do this with an Elgato Mount arm and any webcam with fixed focus capability (or your phone camera).

You could have easily made just this arm to be used with the Logitech camera the customer already has. Content creators are doing 4K more than ever before and are going to want to have a 4K camera (like the Brio) instead of having to drop to 1080p with the camera that is included here.

I’ve been needing this solution for my work for 6 years now. It’s such a shame they did it with a crappy webcam.

Document cameras have been around for many years. Ipevo makes 4k versions, along with many other companies. This looks like Logitech’s take on a basic document camera with a bit more articulation.

So your voice sounds distant and inconsistent? Not to mention the loud thumps when touching the camera. If you're going to dedicate a camera, spend $50 on a mic and mic arm combo kit for a static mic that isn't going to be thumping in your audience's ears anytime you need to adjust the camera.
@Pissarrio Жыл бұрын
@@DaniGirl6 the main point was the specs for the camera, okay? the question about the microphone was ancillary and as a matter of overall design and functionality of this device.

Interesting but that is a cam turned into a document camera effectively. A document camera with good resolution and macro zoom would be perfect for my needs. Think AverVision make the best ones at the moment like the M5 or M11.

Oh cool, you guys found a way to make web-cams relevant again. P.S. I don't care that it's a 1080p camera but judging by the rest of the comments here, I'd consider making the camera replaceable.

Boom Arm, 360° Rotatable Microphone Stand with Desk Mount - For $40 you can achieve this with any Webcam

It's a nice idea, but $400 for a 1080P camera on a stick is a bit ridiculous. If one doesn't already exist, other companies are going to introduce generic, third-party articulating arms that are similar or better than this one. Since there is nothing high-tech about this, it is going to be rather easy to find low-priced commodity arms to mate with superior cameras.

Never Buy Logitech Products as their Sales after Service is worst.They do not provide Defected Product home replacement service to their Customers in case they are living in small cities and Logitech Customer Service Center is not available in their city, they will ask you to come their Service Center or Courier the Defective Product from your own expenditure. Better to buy product of Dell and HP who are providing Defective products home Replacement service to their customers. I bought Dell mouse last year, They replaced it at my home and this year I bought Logitech Mouse and They denied to replace it at my Home. Now Final Decision is yours

Now having it in my hands I can say "It was a good idea, badly executed". There is no one glaring thing you can point to and say “That’s what ruins this”, other than the lack of quality from the camera. It’s a series of small things that have been overlooked, and they all add up to a giant disappointment. My experience with it: - The pivot point of the vertical riser is looser than you’d expect. To make movement smooth (and to increase rigidity to reduce shaking) there should be a small amount of resistance, this is missing. This is especially annoying as this allows the USB cable to easily mess with its resting point. - Because the vertical pivot point is loose, there is some slop in it (the top of the vertical riser can move around by about half a centimetre)… as you can imagine this amplifies at the end of the boom arm and makes it sensitive to vibrations when shooting. - The USB cable is too rigid and too short. The provided extension is ok, but they really should have just put a port on the back of the camera and allowed us to swap the cable out. - The bearings of the boom arm stick in places. - The you can't lock the camera to a specific point on the boom arm, so if it's at an angle it will slide out of position. - The boom arm only rotates outward in a single direction. To get it to go in the other direction you have to swivel the upright 180 degrees and rotate the boom arm. This isn’t a big thing on its own, but combined with the rest of it, highlights the lack of thought put into the design. - The boom arm doesn’t lock at anything other than at a right angle. Two things here: - A basic resistance fit able to lock at any arc of movement wouldn’t have been hard, - There is also absolutely no option of being able to progress past right angle to a declination angle. Unfortunately either of these would have been useless given that you can’t lock the camera position on the boom arm. - The rotation control of the camera is just terrible! It feels cheap, sticking in some sections and rotating freely in others. This feels like poor quality manufacturing highlighting bad design. There are times I’ve experienced… it’s not backlash, but because it moves more freely in one direction than another in specific positions, it feels like there are spots of backlash. - The camera head movements (any of them, from rotation to the pitch and yaw provided by the resistance ball and socket) don’t have any tactile home points, this is true for all directions of movement… so good luck getting it back to true. - On the topic of the ball and socket joint at the end of the boom arm, the yaw angles are pathetic… maybe a couple of degrees. - On the topic of not having home points… the camera has an accelerometer in it to try and figure out its orientation (portrait/landscape). This works when it’s looking horizontally at a subject but has MAJOR issues flipping between portrait and landscape mode when filming top down. There doesn’t appear to be a way to disable this, and if there are any vibrations (which are common, see above) then it’ll bounce around between these two orientations like a rabbit on cocaine. - Sometimes it will get confused and display the video as landscape inside a portrait frame resulting in black bars. This continues until I power cycle the camera. This was probably an artefact of OBS, but it only happens after it's been flipping between orientations for a bit so I'm going to blame the camera. - The camera quality is… It’s not great. On both Mac and Windows it looks… like a cheap camera. I’m using my Logitech 920 as a reference so you can’t say that I’m comparing it to some high end set-up.

But at least they care about cAbLe MaNaGeMeNt!!! What a joke. Never buying logitech again. After buying $200 camera and within months it ended android compatibility, with "updates coming soon!" and too late for refunds.
