1) I like how cautious they are and using words like first draft, review etc multiple times, so that people don't think copilot's work doesn't need review 2) Another thing we need to understand is that a lot of context is our heads and not documented for AI to analyse and connect the dots. If we want AI to be able to connect the dots, it should be well documented. So documenting it like you would do for an newcomer is crucial I think

The next decade or two will be the cybernetic workflow. We will use AI to do about 70% of the work that we would normally perform. Human understanding and intuition will be required to take the project the remaining 30%.

@@jayvlugt3309 you completely misunderstood what is being announced. This is not a “smart” Ai, this is more like a companion Ai. It will help you speed up any process by ten folds or more once you know how to utilise it. It is incapable of thinking by itself without a human input. Without a human to work with it, you won’t get anything done in a company. If anything, this will improve efficiency, accuracy, and precision. What I suspect would happen is companies abusing this and forcing less people do more work.

They can, but its not expensive to build an inhouse LLM. The issue is that these products from microsoft and google are far more expensive than hiring a Data Scientist and getting them to build your own LLM and email server, and like amazon you can just get rid of PPTs altogether. They just use a notepad and bullet points to communicate the key points rapidly, much more efficient and avoids 30 min long meeting with 10-15 people of which only 1-2 actually contribute

This. I have getting used to using chatGPT in my job but i have noticed although i do learn at a accelerated pace with it, it also removes the need for me to experiment by myself. So for coding, it would give me the perfect code.... but to really learn something you need to write it yourself and try and fail. This is something you miss out on with these technologies so i am very VERY curious how next generations of people gonna be. There is already a clear divide between the generation that grew up with Commodore 64 and command lines and the younger people who have no idea what that even is. Imagine now with A.I giving you the answers in seconds.

Now schools have to switch to a Cloud based Microsoft, if they use Microsoft, so that students use a standardized tool set for homework. This way schools maintains control what homework assignment can use copilot, while some assignment can not. That is to keep the homework evaluation fair and precise. Homework without copilot assistance is to evaluate student’s own capability; whereas homework with copilot help is to evaluate student’s ability to use tools in future real life scenarios.

In my opinion, using AI to write a party invitation, as well as recall the memories of your loved ones, can be dangerous. I believe that if we made the presentation/arranged the party and speech ourselves and it looked worse/we forgot something, it would not be a disadvantage. After all, when small children give cards to their parents, they often do not look neat or modern at all, but they are simply a gift from the heart and that is why they are so valuable. (Of course, parents will say it's beautiful because it's a beautiful expression of a child's love for their parents.) I believe that in such cases what counts is our individual sensitivity, emotions, bonds with others, and not that it should be "more efficiently" done. Of course, you can actually use it only as a sketch on the basis of which you will create your own things, but simply in my opinion entrusting AI to do creative things may, if used inappropriately, reduce the individuality of our works.

@karencapraro4702 Жыл бұрын
@@sanjeevsharma9998 sure, but for me I also wonder, what do you lose along the way by not writing the draft yourself? For myself, I learn so much when I write, it feels like it can be more about the journey and what I learn along the way, than having a polished looking presentation. In my opinion, the solution to not having enough time to sit down and write from the beginning a heartfelt message about a big family milestone, might be more about fixing society's unrealistic expectations on our time. I'd love it if we could use AI to address that.

Insane but in a way that I think would also enable automated # fudging if you get what I mean. How hard can you skew things or create too many plausible data sets in your favor to discern through. Our future might be "expand this thing me type now, make sound smart" Copilot command - send w/o proof reading. Recipient - immediately "compress this message" Copilot command without reading it first. All bizarre stuff to comprehend as this tech is getting so advanced, but in my opinion it's probably still for the best.

AI isn’t going to fudge numbers for you unless you want it to. AI does not have intent, it does what you want it. If you wanted fudged numbers you can do it the old way by hand an manual manipulation or you can do it quickly by having AI do it for you. You can beat someone to death with a stick or just shoot them once. Same task, one is just more effective than the other.
