A little tip specially if you're a small person, to make the monkey feet more comfortable, I wear some hiking boots instead of my low-cut sneakers. That gives my ankles more protection with heavier weights. That being said these are a really great piece of equipment

You got to practice putting it on and off and work your way adding weight onto this equipment .I use this as a warm with my left leg because of strength imbalances due to knee issues I have before I do barbell/goblet squats.My final review is that is a nice piece of equipment to have for your home gym.

I feel like you couldn’t load this with enough weight to get proper stimulus if you are an experienced lifter. It looks like a good product for beginners starting to work out tho, especially at home.

Hey Lance! Each MonkeyFeet is rated to hold a 160lb dumbbell max, although we have reached more than 250lb+ during our engineering testing! For safety ratings, we cap it at 160lb (which are the biggest standard dumbbells). That being said, we strongly recommend customers focus on proper technique and using manageable weight to avoid injury. Most customers are fairly surprised by how little weight it takes to get a good pump!

Yes! The foam padding helps make barefoot use comfortable as well. And yes, weighted pullups are an awesome use case for this! No more annoying chain belts

Isn’t this essentially the same as an ankle weight?

Compared to ankle weights, MonkeyFeet allows you to turn any standard dumbbell into a leg exercise. This means you can reach much heavier weights (up to 160lbs, compared to ankle weights that max out at 20lbs!). MonkeyFeet also allows you to seamlessly switch between weights when ankle weights are a hassle to put on and take off. MonkeyFeet is also light and much easier to transport to the gym/hotel/etc, and compared to a full ankle weight set is actually cheaper!

i tried ordering a pair, and when i clicked "continue to checkout" it stayed on the same page and had a error in a pink box reading "Billing adress info was not matched by the processor" so i figured i would just try again later, however it showed the charge on my card... it didnt say my order was successfully placed on the website, and there is no contact number available. so i sent an email and it says on the website a minimum of 2 days to hear back... i hope to get this sorted out... because my card was charged for the order twice and in fact i just want the one. just a warning for anyone looking to buy these on the website, the website seems buggy and quick to charge your card. and if that happens to you i guess like in my case... With that said, barbells can also be used if you own two MonkeyFeet. They can be a little more difficult to get good positioning with, but still 100% doable!

With that said, we have experience with it working on the kind of standard screw type dumbbell that you are mentioning! As for lying leg curls, that is also a doable exercise although getting up into the position can be a little difficult.
