This was his prime. One year after I graduated high school, roughly a year after Vauxhall and I released, and right about the time World of Morrissey came out. It seems like yesterday.....his voice was so perfect during this era. And I moped through life with him as my soundtrack. He still is, albeit not to the fanatical extreme as it used to be. The brooding angst has leveled off, the gray hairs have begun to make their advance, the fatigue of age has begun to set in.....but when I close my eyes....I can go tight back to that time...and both of us are still there....walking the streets, side by side, with incredible style

Thank you so so very much! One of my all time favourite musicians and bands ever. Thank you ! My Mum and I went to see Morrissey a few years ago and we finally had the pleasure to enjoy his music live . She tried to go see him in cofnert in the 1990s but both shows were cancelled. However, we were lucky to be able to see him finally in the 2000s . Now, of course, I don't blame Morrissey. And I know he does not enjoy cancelling shows Thank you for the music and for singing so honest and so heart wrenching. Even if sometimes that hurts. I do love your music! Thank you so much to the incredible musicianship of The Smiths and of Morrissey's solo bands. The bands deserve a great deal of respect! :)

God i love him, i wish i had a chance to see him live during this era, sadly i hadn't even been born yet! I don't think any artist could ever replicate what he did in his career, especially around this time period which is when i think he was at his best. Forever my favourite artist, and just one of my favourite people in general. The ending of this video when "Will never marry" was playing with the compilation of all the fans running up on stage hugging and kissing Morrissey, man that was a really heart warming sight, something about that is really beautiful to me and i can't quite put my finger on why, a rare sight of people coming together in such a beautiful way i suppose, no man can bring such wonderful displays of affection out of people other than him.

As someone said before, this is the prime of Morrissey. I started listening to him around 97 and saw him live in Portugal for the first time in 1999 - he still had a bit of shyness but at the same time he was more mature and seemed happy, balanced. This is the Morrissey that marked me and saved me from my terrible teens. It's incredible seeing this concert now in 2021, how the audience would go on stage but it was civilised and mutually respectful. Amazing.

Cant imagine Morrissey playing The Smiths in this era of Morrissey's Boy Racer, Boxing Lad, Nightclub owner get-up. But Shoplifters makes sense. Wish they had it recorded it in this edit.

There are so many reasons I love Morrissey, same with Robert Smith and Plant. His songs are stories, and even if I can’t relate to one I enjoy his telling

I really wish these two shows could be properly transferred to HD from the original film elements, it would look terrific. Also include the encore and additional songs which were cut. The soundtracks were filmed as well and it could make a really nice deluxe edition. It would also be a great excuse to fix the very dated 90s quick-cut camera swaps.

32:08 I love how he spits out: “Don’t rake up my mistakes, I know exactly what they are. But what do you do?” The venom in the lyrics.
