What happens to the echoes from the first 180 pulse? Wouldn't these interfere with the sampling of the signal from the volume of tissue we are "listening" for?

Sir If we are using gradients for selection of volume of interest, they are gradients. Won't the use of gradients erase the characteristic frequency of each proton? As you told 1st that spectroscopy have to be performed without gradients.
