After Rel 16, NB IoT still considering as 4G or 5G?

NB-IoT is based on the LTE Air interface (4G). However, 3GPP added both NB-IoT and LTE-M to their 5G MMTC (Massive Machine Type Communications) offering. As such, it can be thought of as “5G MMTC” (but it is not based on the 5G NR (New Radio) technology).
