Nice! Conceptually, is there a way to use this in a server-less environment (projects like SvelteKit and Next.js)?
@PrismaData Жыл бұрын
As long as the server stays alive to keep the connection alive, you could use Pulse on the server.

Tbf I understand why you need to sell some products, but, also tbf, I’m pretty disappointed to discover that this is the reason why you stalled the support for « listen » and « notify » native PG events for so long on GH… Welp, this is not the day I will drop pg-listen 😢

How does this interact with migrations?
@PrismaData Жыл бұрын
In what way are you thinking? Pulse wouldn't (at the moment) send an event response on a migrate.

How scalable is this solution ? What are the limits ? Performance is inherently a problem for all real-time applications. Appreciate if you share more information on architecture and scalability...

Am i crazy or is there no way to use this with an offline, local or otherwise inaccessible database?
@PrismaData Жыл бұрын
Hey Drob, We need to connect to your database for Prisma Pulse to work. When you set up the connection, we can get the events from your database as they happen and send them to your apps. Without the database being up/public, we couldn't do so. There is a way to make your Local database accessible through ngrok. You may be able to use this repo to help. github.com/sabinadams/docker-pg-replication Also, we just released a quick and easy way to get up and running with pulse using Railway. Check out this video about it! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqO3n6Ktdriop9E Thanks for the support. Let me know of anymore questions. - Marc

That is pretty cool! I am currently trying to integrate pulse with my planetScale databases. I got approved for the beta. I am creating a node server api that talk to my mobile applications
