Spring Framework 6 and Spring Boot 3 imply a new baseline. They bring the Spring ecosystem in line with the needs of tomorrow's workloads. Spring now provides ahead of time (AOT) compilation support for compiling Spring applications to native executables using GraalVM.
Native images can provide cheaper, more sustainable delivery for a range of workloads. These include microservices, function workloads, well suited to containers and Kubernetes.
In this session, we will look at Spring Boot 3 with a focus on using AOT with GraalVM. We will produce native images with smaller footprints and faster startup times. We will then discuss how native images can be used across your organization, from development to production.

Can you make a video where you explain how to use the micrometer api for custom implementations? For example, as happens automatically for RestControllers and others built-ins in spring.

your images were "created: 42 years ago", do you have a flux canalyzer based docker version?

i have the following maven dependency org.springframework.cloud spring-cloud-starter-netflix-eureka-client And My main class has following annotation: @EnableDiscoveryClient when i run ./mvnw clean install then ./mvnw spring-boot:run it runs perfectly and does register to discovery service howerver when i run ./mvnw clean package and generate native executable using ./mvnw -Pnative native:compile commond it successfully gerenates the native image but when i run using ./mynativeimage it generates the following error: Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No qualifying bean of type 'com.netflix.discovery.EurekaClient' available: expected at least 1 bean which qualifies as autowire candidate. Dependency annotations: {}

hm, i don't know, i appreciate the knowledge transfer, but there is a fine line between between giving an entertaining presentation and pushing it to hard. Even the directory is called /fun ... anyways: these memory savings are for a cold application, so loaded classes etc, but not any actual data. Many applications and frameworks use in memory caches, so at the end, for many complex applications you will not save 50, 60 or 70% of memory, but only around 10-30%. But even 20% of saved memory in a very large landscape can save significant amounts of money.

The questioners need to have a microphone or he should repeat the question, he is answering questions that some of us (at least me, sometimes) do not follow. He should repeat the question or the questioners need to have a microphone.
