10:32 The awesome part here was the Overseer itself-- it managed to calibrate all of the animals to be able to survive underground and even endure radiation for some of them in the time it takes for a bomb to explode! I mean, seriously, it must've gone through several thousand improvised calculations and system modifications in less than one minute! I'm certainly impressed!

Great vid! BTW, Rockwell had been something of a fixture on the Island for _years_ by the time Helena arrived, to the point where he'd helped draft legislation and peace treaties between tribes. EVERYBODY knew who Rockwell was, and he'd gained a very positive reputation. With that in mind, and considering the fate of Nosti in Scorched Earth, I wonder if spawing Nerva onto the Island wasn't a purposeful action by the Overseer to disrupt the peace and get things moving again.

I have 4000+ hours played and you made me wanna play again through all of the official maps. Thank you for giving us the full perspective of ARKs lore, it makes playing the game so much more compelling now knowing the deep meaning of why we are in the ARK. I remember when ARK was more glitch than game it didn't had any behind story, and then WC ended with a very cool plot for the lore imho, but I didn't knew well until I found your top quality content. Man, I remember trying to piece together the lore from hints and data mines and shit back in the day. When I say back in the day, I mean pre-Aberration. Back when my tribe ruled Official Server 8 from our volcano top base….we moved to the big chair shaped iceberg before the ascension cave became a thing. I still remember by best prediction. When we first got the ascension run, I hopped to single player to map the cave and learn the boss routine. The cut scene starts and you see the network around earth. But way out near Jupiter you see another…something. So that week on the Arkeologist Podcast (on the channel of one Sean D Knight) I said something to the effect of ‘I think it’s some kind of alternate plan or backup, while one faction made the Arks to somehow reclaim the earth, that signal out the is a colony ship.’ It was years before Genesis proved me right Good times. Loved Ark and the lore. Sadly, the Official Server community is so toxic I can’t go near that game anymore.

Hey, how's it going? I'm just a lore junkie with no real interest in playing the game. I just saw a lore video of something completely new to me, so I clicked. Well, that was on that first video in this series. I have a question though... What's a 12-map ark cluster server? Not what is it in the hardware but what does it mean for the gameplay? Does it functionally operate like one big, shared map or something? Sorry I don't have an understanding of how all these maps or DLCs work.
