Introducing the ARRMA TYPHON 4x4 3S BLX

The Typhon 3s is plenty fast out of the box and is an excellent value. Its easy to work on and preforms well on or off road. I honestly don't think it would be something you would get for your child starting out. It's a powerful car and could do quite a bit of damage if left in the hands of a kid unsupervised. Having said that I think it would be a good idea to at least supervise the first couple of runs. Some kids are more responsible than their parents so who's to say. The Typhon 3s weighs about 6 lbs and travels at well over 60 mph. Awesome video and awesome car.

Hi. Is it 60 mph with stock stock gearing? I lost my mom right before i bought this RC car. So haven't driven it too much. But now i have upgraded to 6s shocks. Looks so nice. And i have bought a spur gear from eBay. Should i change that too? It is supposed to be better.

​@@tittentei7331 I don't think 60mph is achievable with the stock gearing. Gearing up will give you better top speed but if you like to bash you sacrifice the bottom end. I honestly don't know if changing out the spur is better than just going with a larger pinion. That would be less cost and effort but honestly my Typhon is still running stock gears. It needs all new bearing and such but it still runs fine after 2 years with very little maintenance. The 6s typhon shocks are so much nicer than the 3s ones. Sorry to hear about your Mom. This RC must really hold a place in your heart. It's an incredible RC. Best for super long jumps, speed runs, bashing and just all around fun.

@@tittentei7331 Good deal. Just make sure you get the proper pinion. The stock one is 15 tooth and you might go to an 18 or 20 tooth but double check the Shaft diameter and pitch as well as tooth count. A good battery will also give you a bit more speed. You have an amazing day my friend. 👍

I have one of these now and I beat the absolute living crap out of it ram it into curbs, jump it 15+ feet and all sorts of stuff hasn't broken once and I've had it for a month

Got mine and it is a lot of fun, or was, until I needed some parts, and they are on back order. I broke a front suspension arm and a front shock and they are unavailable. I wish at least I could get an ETA on the parts.
