Mind blown 🤯 I was so happy see the “examples end at hello world” item. That scenario has been a huge source of frustration for me, especially when I don’t have folks with experience to help guide me. This tool should save folks a ton of time.

Love this. Just running that template and having a simple best practices example in your subscription from a to z is pure gold.

I wouldn't call it "best practices". The templates open everything up to the internet and allow any IP through the SQL server firewall, they use named sql users instead of managed identities, the app services are not protected behind a WAF, etc. A lot of the setup goes against the Azure Security Guidelines baseline =/ It's really a shame that it is so freaking complicated to use azure correctly and so easy to use it incorrectly. It's also a shame that Microsoft's code samples almost never follow their own security recommendations.

This is a great step towards developer enablement! Once TF is supported then it could be something for an enterprise to consider.

Can we integrate it with Azure DevOps pipe line?
@savannahostrowski2 жыл бұрын
The Azure Developer CLI support Azure DevOps Pipelines as of 0.3.0-beta.1(github.com/Azure/azure-dev/releases/tag/azure-dev-cli_0.3.0-beta.1)! We'll formally announce it tomorrow morning with our monthly release blog post, which is also when all of the documentation will be published. Stay tuned!

would you plz 🙏 guide I am confused whether I start my career in networking or in Microsoft
@shehzad_ali2 жыл бұрын
It depends what your interest is in. Previously you could have worked with on premises infrastructure but with the majority of infrastructure going to the cloud you would be better off studying that. Microsoft allows you to sit the Azure basics exam AZ-900 for free if you attend the virtual training course and have lots of resources online. My recommendation would be to start with AZ-900 and then specialise. Good luck.

There are lots of specializations within the Microsoft world, including networking and security. I agree with Shezad’s suggestion of the AZ-900 certification. You get a taste of everything and will be better informed when choosing where to go from there.

Microsoft could and should have chosen F# instead of Bicep.🙃
