You should make a clamping jaw, like a cresent adjustable nail puller, and make the other side a punch.

Interested, for sure. Ideally, there should be more of a curve to the claw, top and bottom. That would allow most nails to be completely removed, rather than having to add something against which to pry. Also, the additional curve on the bottom would encourage the head to stay. What is the length? 8"? 10"? How much does it weigh?

Where might I purchase one of these fine tools sir?

I think you could use the commonly shaped edc pry bars... perhaps with round or triangular shaped screw off tip bit which can be used as a leverage point... so you could basically see saw and get more leverage to pull out nails etc.... yet still keeping the same sleek small pocketable shape...

The full-sized CatClaw's price should be up, but it is currently out of stock as there is another batch being made right now. The Mini CatClaw's price is still TBD.

I want it. I've needed a pry bar with more leverage recently so this'll be cool.

Just watched 😮 your recent video. Your pocket organizer looks similar to my wallet I made years ago, and the smaller cat claw caught my eye. It's hard to find good, fully usable pocket pry bars, and I'm curious if your tiny prototype would be available or produced at some point. When I made my wallet, I also made a pocket pry from an old offset Proto box wrench by cutting off the lower jaw. Old German made Proto, but the steel is more than hard enough without heat treatment.

Nice! The a batch of CatClaws are being made right now, the minis will come later. Estimated 4-8 weeks for the CatClaws. That's pretty cool that you made your own pry too.

You should make a striker/hammer similar to the one on the leatherman signal with out the nail puller on the same side of the hammer with a slime over length of 5.5inch with a deep pocket clips. I haven’t seen that on the market. I would love to carry a mini hammer style prybar hammer

Give me a frigging break.............People are going to carry this everyday when they might not ever use it along with their other EDC junk filling and bulging their pockets. This thing is huge and heavy to carry in a pocket unless maybe you're wearing cargo pants with huge side pockets. Not saying this isn't a very good piece of machining.
@edcpockettools2 жыл бұрын
Good point, it may not be practical for some lifestyles. I am also working on a mini model that is 75mm long and 70 grams instead of 120mm and 150 grams. It won't have as much leverage, but it will still be able to do the same jobs that don't require as much brute force.
@grumbholt Жыл бұрын
@@edcpockettools i disagree. I think the size shown off in the video is the perfect small pry BAR. Anything smaller than this is basically just a "Gerber shard" Anyone who is buying something of this size and shape, probably already has an idea on how to carry it. The previous commentor is just being a rude pessimist, IMHO
@Zhcwu6 ай бұрын
I agree, pretty useless prybar. At that size you're better off just carrying nippers instead, I don't know what you would pry with this. Good luck pulling 16 penny nails with such small lever arm, and the head is too bulky for fine trim work, it's metal so it won't won't work for delicate material, I honestly don't see the point.
