Introducing the Chicago Street Course | NR2003 20th Anniversary Special

Since we're now over the 3,000 subscriber mark I wanted to do something really special. Alexandermz695 made this incredible version of the Chicago Street Course for NR2003, and I was given a developmental copy to make a trailer/hype video for it. So today we get to have some fun and tribute both NASCAR's 75th anniversary season, and NASCAR Racing 2003 Seasons' 20th anniversary year as well. This might be one of my last "mock series" broadcast style videos at least for a little while, and that's because of how much traction the gameplay videos have been gaining. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to make this an "experience" with the whole graphics package and 4K resolution. Also, please remember that Alexandermz695 is still developing this track, so this is not a release video. I hope you enjoy this video, I had a lot of fun making it. Thank you all for over 3,000 subscribers. This channel has got great momentum going, and I hope to keep it up.

This video demonstrates that stage cautions do more to ruin a race than a mid or awful track with no passing opportunities. I was getting invested in a fictional simulated race run on two interconnected squares thanks to pit strategy. Great work Mark

I use Sony Vegas to edit these videos. It's a rather pricy editor so I highly recommend getting it when it's a part of a major discount deal. Like I think there's a humble bundle going on right now with Vegas in it that would be rather cheap.

I love Sim Racing and I’m getting onto those older titles, how is the force feedback on this game nowadays? Can you feel the road and wheels etc like in modern games? Would be great to talk to someone how the game is regarding to physics and FFB before I go to the long process of getting the game and then getting it to work on a modern hardware PC with windows 11..

You can absolutely feel the road in this game. There is a few quirks that are noticeable, like the whole "glass tires" issue where if you go into a slide it is completely impossible to save it. But it's still a rather solid experience.

I’m really excited, since I muss a good quality oval simulation in the modern games! I don’t even care about the graphics for such a simulation, I just want really good physics and FFB corresponding with those physics. At the moment Rfactor2 is the best simulation that I’ve ever played but even there the ovals don’t feel completely right.
