Faro product is first class metrology equipment. I grew up with SMX laser trackers before Faro bought them out. I was concerned at first. But have been pleasantly surprised with the service, support and product!

Igor Vilin Leica has some excellent quality equipment. But five years from now technology will make today’s equipment look like Fred flintstone owned it! Lol when the SMX trackers came out they were very reliable and easy to calibrate!

what program best utilizes the trackers capabilities? poly works or verisurf? someone is trying to convince me polyworks is the better software. i have used nothing but multiple versions of verisurf and love it. use in aviation working off target based alignments, and datum alignments to measure part surfaces, and hole positions cut in machines.

I've ever used SpatialAnalyzer with the Vantage, we use PolyWorks with our 3D scanner only
