I will be very honest. When I watched Zuck's horrible ad for Meta, I was both scared and depressed that someone so void and yet so powerful was promoting an escapist, emotionally draining, false "reality" as if it was something unstoppable and, more than that, healthy and universally acclaimed. But by watching this beautiful video about Iceland, and all the wonderful, natural, real places and beings we can experience in our ACTUAL lives, without the need of sitting in a room, connected to a machine, in order to escape reality, and how it doesn't matter whether its Iceland or the park a few blocks from our house, and how a lot of people are actually still preferring reality instead of the stupid Metaverse... It restores my hope.

Geenius! "Enhanced actual reality" is what we really want indeed, not the opposite! :)
@coolertuep2 жыл бұрын
If we all fly to Iceland and expierence this „actual reality“, the „actually reality“ will be a dead planet in a few generations. If we just develop a perfect simulation every human no matter his financial income could have access to in the future, this would just safe our planet and allow our descendants to also have a rather decent life. But who doesn’t wont to be selfish? We shouldn’t give a fck and just have fun yolo
@muraridurairajan16732 жыл бұрын
@@coolertuep yes, that is true, but this can’t serve as a distraction from real life! What about your personal income, your personal life, your real self? What if you can’t afford a headset, or glasses? And if we actually try to not destroy earth when we visit it, at least there is some hope 😀
