Is it possibly for you guys to do a video on scenarios where one light is better. Because I’m a amateur and saw the nova 300c and got it right away and now thinking a point source light would be better.

point light source is good if you want the ability to focus the light really well or simulate the sun. i think you'll be happy with a larger diffused light source that you can diffuse even more. although i do think the nova is less powerful in terms of raw light output as compared to this light.

I have 2 and one of my Nova's fans sounds like it has a bad fan bearing. Much louder than my other. Can't use it indoors with audio. Really sucks.

@@RobertJohnPhotography same. i ended up doing a replacement 3x, sent to aputure, sent to insurance 3rd party repair. 4 units, all same issue. useless for audio capture indoors in small spaces

@@Kevlexicon I hate dropping this much money on a product and then can't use it. I'm still in the year warranty but only by a week and I have music video to use them on. Can't send it in as I need them right now. Probably going to have to pay to have it fixed later. Not happy

@@RobertJohnPhotography Understandable, but thankfully at least typically for music videos you don’t need on site audio, unless it’s like an acoustic studio video or something like that. Totally understand the frustration though

@@cineveriteproductions-1864 I have used them a few times for interviews shooting through a 4x4. But the fan sound on the one is unusable in those situations. Wish they were easy to service as I would replace the fan myself. I would drive them to Aputure if I was able to sit and wait while they replaced it. I live about 65 miles from them.
