And did you buy it? Cause that's the most important part. The only positive is the resolution. The headset is all wobbly for anything else than stationary. And putting well over 1kg on your head is just nasty.. i think you got it for free, just weeks ago you said you're waiting for deckard 😂

It got sent to me - This video is not framed to be a recommendation to get one, and its not a review. Just an introduction with some of the specs. Not meant to encompass my entire thoughts on it, which I plan to do in a full review later on once the software is updated and all functionality is available.

First and foremost, (more than anything else combined) how heavy and/or comfortable is that beast?

I will weigh it for my review but anecdotally I would say it's a little bit heavier than the Valve Index. But it does feel well balanced for the most part since it has a battery in the back.

Thats only 5 degrees more fov than a vive pro2, which costs half that and has an option for wireless. An option that costs more than a quest2 headset, but the options there.

It's just under 2lbs. Definitely the heaviest HMD I have used. But well balanced.

If you would like something cool to do in VR come play some Wardust with a great crowd of people at the weekend events. I would like to see what both of my friends saw using the Pimax.

I have a couple of friends who loved their old pimax and agreed it was the best FOV, we all play Wardust and they said that they had other headsets but nothing else compared. 😊

What is PPD mean? What is that compared to the Quest 2 I have?

The quick answer is, it's Pixels Per Degree, and the higher it is means the better resolution and clarity. Quest 2 PPD is 20 compared to the Crystal's 35.
