Is this only compatible with the Longmill or can it be installed on other CNC's? Like the Inventables X-Carve.

We've only tested the Vortex Rotary on the LongMill. Technically, since the XCarve should be compatible with gSender, you can likely modify your machine to accommodate the rotary axis and use gSender as your sending program, but we wouldn't have support for this at this point.

No, any current version of the LongBoard is compatible with the Vortex Rotary. You can use this with any LongMill CNC controller no matter when it came out.
