I use Ready For a lot for transferring photos and files between laptop and my Motorola Edge 30, really useful app with a lot of features

Same here, i am also a edge 30 pro 5g user. Readyfor is really good, but comparing to Huawei. I would say my Huawei are more seamless. Hope they improve it soon.

Update !! I finally got my ThinkPhone !! Love it so far after not a day yet of ownership. This phone should stay on the market for long with just yearly small upgrade instead of like many device , getting discontinued and replace another device. Hopefully Motorola comes with an optional wired adapter via usb for us to use our Moto Z Play Implement on our ThinkPhone and other Motorola device . Cheers !!! Marc.

U know what, ask somebody that used it for a couple of months with Moto Mods. And let me know what they say. Remember, it's a normal phone like the others, with plug and play power to add, battery, sound, projectors, cameras and even more. Plus, has cool design and premium body and unique features to launch the camera and flashlight that no Apple or any other phone has.

this, this seamless pairing is the thing that i needed the most from a phone to computer. before this there is apple and huawei, but they did this only on their exclusive ecosystem. and now lenovo enabling this by only installing a software basically from any computer and then you're ready to go

Yea, this seamless pairing was one of the reasons I bought the phone last week and I love it. Especially drag and drop files from and to the phone is awesome. Never again connecting the phone via cable. I don´t use copy and paste as much but it is neat to have.

This isn''t just exclusive for the Thinkphone but to all Motorola phones that do have ReadyFor. I have a Motorola Edge 20 Pro and ReadyFor is really icing on the cake for features. It's the reason why I am still holding onto this phone despite me itching for a Pixel for some time now.

Motorola needs to Think about bringing back the Motorola Quantico. Bring it back just like it was but with better side buttons that don't fall off as the rubber cracks after years of use. I was still using my Quantico well into 2022 until my cell phone service was no longer allowing it to stay in service. They gave me a Kyocera DuraXA Equip and it is larger than the Quantico. Also doesn't work as well. I want a new Motorola Quantico.

Please Motorola just two things regarding their phones: - Go back to using Sony sensors in the cameras. - Stop writing the number of megapixels in the camera module, it takes away from the sobriety of the design.

Lenovo has excelled in creating an ecosystem with the potential to revolutionize the business industry. However, Android devices currently lack reliability in sending and receiving text messages, and their wireless connectivity doesn't match the smoothness of Apple's iPhone. As this phone is tailored for business use, its inability to perform basic tasks like text messaging renders it unfortunately useless. I eagerly await a solution from Lenovo or Motorola to rectify this issue, as I'm genuinely enthusiastic about purchasing a Thinkphone to complement my Thinkpad. Thank you.

So, Motorola in the USA has pulled a bait and switch! The USA models only have a SINGLE SIM, the other side of the tray is blocked! Does anyone know if I purchase the dual-sim tray if it will recognize the second sim? OR, should I just return the phone and say farewell to Motorola, support another company that doesn't lie? Their own website states dual nano sim.

motorola phones do not work with volte or vowifi in spain because motorola does not put the necessary IMS connection data for them to work. i bought 2 moto g30 and nothing works in O2 spain or Movistar operators. the spanish operators are turning off 3g technology and these phones are unable to call on 4g because motorola does not put the necessary data in the aps-full conf xml file or in their firmware. I wanted to buy a third phone and I have already had to change brands and I have bought a Samsung A33, which works correctly

Unfortunately G52 is no good, over time the left speaker, next to the camera, will start to fail, mine sometimes has to be tapped back to get the sound back on and the micro SD card reader stopped working, which after that Android 13 update, something went wrong with the micro SD reader, it doesn't even appear anywhere, I've already restarted and even put several micro SDs in to try, but it doesn't appear 😏 👀 🧐

Can you test in Safe Mode and let me know if it behaves the same? Safe Mode will start the device without third-party applications running. To boot into Safe Mode, press the physical power key, touch and hold Power off, and touch OK when Reboot to Safe Mode appears. Restart the device to get out of Safe Mode. Let us know if there are any changes. -Ythan

@@Moto 🆗 I even understand you, but I'm not going to do a general Restart on my cell phone, otherwise I'm going to lose everything, I've downloaded several films and there are a lot of family photos and on top of that I don't think that with a General Reset the function micro SD reader will appear, but thanks for your attention, one day when I feel up to it I will take it to a technician who is not an amateur, as nowadays there are many amateurs who deal with device. Apology for the confusion. You'll just restart the device, this will not delete any data. Safe mode will not delete anything in your phone too- it will just temporarily disable your third-party apps. But if you perform a factory reset to try to turn off safe mode, you will delete all your internal data. -Ythan

I have a Moto G Stylus G5. I was not impressed with how fast the camera focus on what I aim at. Also a picture of the stars , even when there is no moon is a pain . The phone don t see what I see. I got a Google Pixel8 Pro and not much better. I returned it right away. Just ordered a Think Phone , will get it by Saturday. Can t wait. I ve always loved Motorola. I don t think the picture will be better but I will not be paying for a too expensive device. This one will be a flagship at half the cost !!!

@@Moto Since the Stylus is not a major flagship , I m not mad , I was more comparing with the Pixel8 Pro that was not better than my Stylus. I just return in the time delay Bell allow and that was it. Now I m back using my Stylus till my Think Phone comes in !!! One app that should be considered by Motorola is to create one that allow Moto Z3 Play accessory to used via USB port ... Food for thought . The Z3 Play was an amazing phone and FUN !!!

Should have focused more on how Ready For can *replace* a traditional PC/laptop rather than it being a supplemental device. Embrace the future of motility and hot desking. All a workstation needs is a USB-C monitor to plug the phone in and launch the Ready For desktop mode. No PC needed. Lenovo should have taken an X1 Nano shell and made a lapdock if anything. Imagine the cost savings and security advantages of businesses rolling out just a phone and a "dumb" lapdock, and equipping workstations with nothing more than a USB-C monitor, keyboard and mouse to dock the ThinkPhone with. Lenovo/Motorola could have taken this opportunity to revolutionize the mobile workforce but instead it's just reinforcing archaic workfows of juggling multiple devices and ecosystems. Unfortunate.

@@randomsupergame to už dávno neni pravda. Xiaomi to MiUi dost odladili. Motorola udělala z Moto displeje hroznou věc, kdy se mi v kapse neustále aktivuje tísňové volání, protože stačí gesto nahoru a telefon se rozsvítí. K tomu všemu mi u Edge 30 fusion neustále vypadávají jakákoliv bezdrátová sluchátka. Navíc mi telefon někdy zavibruje dost divně, až mám pocit že vibrační motorek vyletí skrz displej ven. Hele já se fakt snažil, motorole jsem za posledních pár let dal fakt hodně peněz. Vždyť já každej rok kupuju nějakej telefon od motoroly a vždycky z tý nejvyšší třídy. Za Edge Plus jsem zaplatil 26 tisíc korun Českých, ale teď už to fakt nedávám. To Xiaomi prostě funguje a ještě si k němu můžu dokoupit originální kryt v kvalitním provedení a s logem Xiaomi.

It would have to function on any Windows PC with required hardware (Bluetooth, wifi) Creating proprietary hardware on a PC that would exclusively use this software would be expensive, risky, and impractical. Driver certifications, investing in laptops that may or may not sell, when the goal is to sell this phone.

Not convinced. A Business phone means durability and longevity is necessary because adoption takes time. The SD 8+ Gen 1 is power inefficient, leading to premature wear. The design looks like it won't stand more than 2 years at most of use/abuse and service means you're always dependent on manufacturer support. Nothing stands out about this device that isn't already mimicked with other environments, like Microsoft services, Samsung DeX and Apple iOS especially file drops that are already supported by 3rd party apps like Solid Explorer. Worst of all, there's no physical keyboard to showcase the business-first philosophy for ThinkPads.
