Meet Rena Gao (@wegofilm), a Shin-Issei filmmaker who grew up in Hawaiʻi. A new JCCH video series called "Wakame 若目" meaning "young eyes," follows Rena as she explores what it means to be local and what local culture is. Watch her conversations with local young entrepreneurs, creatives, and changemakers!
The series title, Wakame 若目 (young eyes), is a playful use of kanji to represent the perspective of this up-and-coming generation.
