Thanks for the info on XCS 2.0. XCS is improving all the time. I have 10W D1 Pro with IR module. I wanted larger work area. Currently I sometimes use Light Burn and I have just purchased a camera which I am not able to use in XCS. When I do not need camera I will still use XCS as it is so easy to use.

Hi there, do you know how to stop you imported images being ungrouped automatically on xtool software?

Wow, no other hardware company do this. xTool is amazing.

No other laser maker needs to. They make their machines to follow standard industry protocols so that their machine function fully with the far superior Lightburn. XCS has few neat features but is so lacking in so many other ways.

Another great video!! Question: I just got my F1 and I believe it says that plastic is a big NO NO in the machine, is that correct? What about a golf ball? Thanks.

Click on the xtool logo top left of main processing page and hit settings. You'll find it there.

Thank for the informative video. At first look the software is OK, compare to Cricut creative space is way different. The new update is very different for me as a Cricut user, many options are not there. I feel very dissatisfied from this software.

FYI - This BETA 2.0 was open to the first 2,000 people (all spots taken as of a few days ago. Keep an eye out for more openings in the near future!?). I've turned off the "Smart" toggle in the "Processing" tab as it leaves lines and there's a large difference in the engraving, you can tell where it stopped and then went back to finish up that particular area in color as well as the lines, even physical lines in the engraving.

Yes, I believe they may have released some more today. I’ll definitely try turning off the “Smart: toggle! Thanks for the note!

Does anybody have experience in Lightburn and XCS 2.0? I wan´t to buy an co2 laser. but i´m not sure if i want xtool or an other brand,. Witch program gives me the most benefit? XCS sounds nice for beginners, but lightburn seems for me more powerful. My idea is to by the xtool p2 because it seems lightburn compatible, but i heard Lightburn isn´t running smoothly and brings some issues with camera and auto-focus on the xtool p2 device.
@dipeshbarahi65497 ай бұрын
yes it started happening recently. but lightburn is powerful as you said and very versatile

I have experience with both and can tell you that XCS has come a long way (especially with 2.0), and has a lot of features you can use that Lightburn does not offer for the xTool machines. I highly recommend starting with XCS and seeing if you feel the need to upgrade.

I have a bigger Co2 laser that I use lightburn with. And the F1 one chose to use xcs with. I’m using an iPad or MacBook Pro with F1 upstairs in my house and my co2 is in my office in basement connected to my iMac and inline fan is vented through an additional dryer vent exhaust. I’m a graphic designer and bounce between multiple Adobe programs, design space for my Cricut maker… and also in lightburn now xcs. I say give it a chance. Xcs isn’t that bad to learn. Even after the initial shock of new update a week after I received my F1. lol. Personally I enjoy each program and how unique they are. Watch some KZbin videos or tutorials and give yourself several days with several hours and you will You’ve got this!! ❤️

Why are you editing vector images in photoshop? That’s for raster type editing. I recommend Illustrator!!! It’s a vector editing software that Adobe has and it’s my favorite. 97% of my designs prior to laser software is in Illustrator. Maybe check out a KZbin video tutorial. You’ll fall in love

I definitely need to get Lightburn, as I’m sure it’s far superior. I’ve tried to learn and talk about the included software, as that’s what a lot of people will be using, and I’m hoping to be able to help them out a bit. But yes, I’ll soon be using Lightburn!

Believe it or not everybody doesn't need every bell and whistle or to be able to turn every knob and it doesn't cost a penny so.... lighten up Francis.
