Why this obsession with becoming Vishwa Guru?! After all, one can’t become Guru without any disciple…and in the current times we ourselves need to learn LOTS AND LOTS …why we underwent such a 1500 years of slavery? We need to reform our country and there’s lots to learn from every country whether dignity of labour or punctuality, no bribe culture etc… we ourselves are far from perfect or ideal as a country.

@@meenu999 well said. I don't get this obsession with vishwa guru concept either. We (currently) are not fit to be students let alone be anyone's gurus. We (currently) have much to learn as a people and civilisation. Our rishis and jnanis were wise no doubt. They laid the path for others to follow, but we must first free our minds from the colonial mindset that has enslaved us for the last 1000 years. In that quest we are a long way from being where we need to be. For Bharat to reach its true position as a spiritual leader of nations we need to follow in the footsteps of people like Swami Vivekananda - which means we must become as pure as him in our minds. As he said all knowledge is within. The entire Vedas is within us. We must bring it out - each of us. Until we get there it is best not to make a fool of ourselves by declaring we are on our way to becoming a vishwa guru.

@@AshwinSriram TBH Vishva Guru smacks of an egoistic stance. See, all the countries today are overwhelming Abrahamic in nature, practices, policies, governance and even values. Ours is an ethnocentric religion. Our teachings whenever disseminated at best will be in echo chambers! Their self interest conflicts directly with what the “Guru” has to offer. Individual beliefs do not count here, it’s about countries’ long term interests. And there are enough powerful bodies and institutions totally inimical to us no matter their posturing! Far better we set about making every Indian Hindu a practicing one and then we meet the other countries eyeball to eyeball as a strong Hindu nation! Israel is one such example. Dharma will then thrive…in its native land.

My father used to tell me about Sahdeva Nadi. I think it was located somewhere in Thanjavur district. Apparently, Sahdev who was a great astrologer was requested by Kunti to predict every future of every human being (living and unborn). So the patri would always commence the reading with "Hear, mother Kunti". According to my father, people just arrived and waited. No thumbprints or name registration was required. He felt the past reading was always very accurate but future predictions were iffy. He thought maybe it's because future is always full of several probabilities (according to one's ongoing karma) and is therefore hazy (similar to Schrodinger's wave theory). He cited some specific instances. Apparently the Nadi astrologer never charged anything. He heard the astrologer accepted a gift once and the Nadi announced that the patris will reveal nothing to him anymore and specified another family to whom the patris should be handed over. My father moved away from the area and lost touch. Of course all this happened long ago in 1930s and 40s.

Many persons ask which center is good or fake ? Send the address of authentic center. The answer is There is nothing like authentic or otherwise. The center where one finds the palmleaf authentic the other says not good or expensive or money making! Pl don't have bias based others certificate. Therefore go to the nearby center. If there you find your leaf it is good center. The translation quality some times make difference.

Some issues people face... 1. Are The rituals costly? Yes they are. But they were costly in the past too. Whether do they really perform? Ans given by Agasthya Maharishi is when you pay for the chanting for mantra puja you are entitled to get benefits. If the chanting is not done or done with lapses, you don't bother about it. The readers or puja performers will get proper punishment for their bad karma.

for some, it comes correctly. for some, the past events only come correct and future events do not come correct. for those, who may not visit in person, hence no thumb rekha is given, and checking with only date of birth, name etc also may not come correct.

When were these particular tadapatras written? Us this writing a continupus process.. That is is it written again after a few centuries? How many such tadapatra leaves are there in total? What happens when one leaf is attributed to someone.. Is that leaf now reused.. That is can a similar named person with same characters walk again on this earth? Or is the leaf discarded. For hoq many centuries and for how many people are these leaves going to suffice? Is there any such tally mentioned in the shastra. I understand that not all people get a tadpatra attributed to them.. How many percent of population gets a specific patra for them.. Is there any tally for this?

An Agastyar Nadi Jyotishi from Tamil Nadu once made a prediction for me 10 years ago. At that time I was really skeptical of his predictions because I didn't have that much faith in Nadi leaf readers (I still lack some faith not in the subject but in the people who do business with it to fleece others). I met the astrologer only out of curiosity at that time. But the person (Agastyar Nadi Jyotishi) made a prediction about who I would marry later in life. He told me the person by giving me specific details of who they are, where they are from, how I know them, etc (I knew the person he was describing and she was only a distant friend at that time and I had no romantic interest in them). That prediction of the Jyotishi 10 years ago appears to be coming true today as that individual (friend) expressed interest in me and it appears that we have some karmic ties. So long story short - the Nadi Jyotishi seems to be right on this aspect of my life.
