Hii sir, can you please tell how to connect python and YuMi in robotstudio using socket so that, the coordinates from python would be fed to YuMi ?
@aleksandarhaber Жыл бұрын
This is possible, and I have seen people doing that. You need to establish a serial communication between your PC and YuMi. Then through IP addresses you can send strings and numbers. On the YuMi side, in the RAPID programming language, you need to define an interpreter that will accept the data sent from Python and transfer this data to target points and movement commands.

Hello What programing language are you using?
@aleksandarhaber2 жыл бұрын
It is a standard ABB programming language called RAPID

Hello, can you show me how to setup I/O, i have a robot cable from controller, and cant seem to control a valve to open and close the gripper?
@aleksandarhaber2 жыл бұрын
Hi Blaz, I left my previous lab, and I am not able to play with the robot anymore... There is a menu in rapid language to map inputs and outputs to certain commands
@aleksandarhaber2 жыл бұрын
Wait, actually I have a video about that, I will find it

And my next question is it possible to write python codes into the controller or computer?
@aleksandarhaber2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you need to write a serial communication code in python and then interpreter in RAPID. We have done this and it works
