What is the modulation index formula when Vmax and Vmin are given? i) (Vmax-Vmin)/2 or ii)(Vmax-Vmin)/(Vmax+Vmin) Because you told two another formula for the same type of questions that is questions no.49 & 24

Modulation index u =Vm/Vc ie Vm=(Vmax-Vmin)/2 and Vc= (Vmax+Vmin)/2 Substituting Vm and Vc you will get , Modulation index u= (Vmax-Vmin)/(Vmax+Vmin)
