Because they dumb it down. They don't do a detail explanation, college classes are better but harder to follow

This is glorious, been searching for "working with preschoolers who stutter" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Deyarper Especial Dominance - (search on google ) ? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to get rid of your stuttering once and for all without the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend got great success with it.

This is what I've learned in university a couple of years ago. I'm totally in love with linguistics but unfortunately after graduation I got an inadequate job that's irrelevant to my strong suit. An work that shows me how weak and hopeless I am. I quit my job a month ago and now doing what brings joy happiness and peace in the soul. Accidentally I see your video today and I'm incredibly happy now I don't know why but I know that I'm rusty for a while and need to regain the lost wisdom. Thank you for inspiring me to greater efforts 😌

Great. Except that (in North American English at least) _s_ and _z_ are not pronounced with the tip of the tongue pointing at the alveolar ridge. The tip of the tongue is touching the back of the lower teeth while the apex of the tongue is held near the space between the alveolar ridge and the upper teeth.
@Oops-All-Ghosts
@Oops-All-Ghosts 7 жыл бұрын
That may be true in some forms of North American English, but in many others, his description is accurate. Which is probably why he, as a North American, used that description.

When I say s and z, the tip of my tongue is not actually touching my teeth, but is close, and about at a mid height in my mouth. I’m from the Midwest.
