This is a great video with a different approach, really working with lambdas and opening the developer mindset is always difficult but not impossible, as from local development to knowing the architecture has a learning curve. Many videos always show the strengths of AWS and not the disadvantages, like understanding cold star and warm start as well as customizing layers or the dependencies like the pandas example. Good video a new subscriber for your channel.

not sure I would agree with the assertion that lambda is a bad fit for systems requiring high availability, though I would say that it may be a bad fit for systems requiring low (or especially) consistent latency. I'm also realizing that a lot of the irritations with lambda may actually be a cover for irritations with Javascript (or maybe it's just me). I'm working with some folks on Rust lambda's and the benchmarks so far are pretty insane (e.g. 4ms cold start, 1ms warm). Nice coverage!

With SnapStart (just announced) the cold start issues I have dealt with will most likely be non-existent when it's supported by the majority of the languages. And it is true the init time is definitely reduced based on your language choice. Rust has great bench marks!
