Well explained with details. One has to watch the entire set of videos to have a solid understanding of the technology. I must i is worth watching and all the videos are well crafted where even a layman can understand with ease. Only thing what I dont understand it that, some of them have given thumbs down for the video, and I feel they either have no idea about what the video is about nor they just want to be the spoil sport.

Hello Sir, 1. You are talking about connecting the new block to the longest chain. So in your scenario Block 7 is connected to Block 5. But my question is, Why Block 7 is not connected with Block 4, this is also the longest chain as Block 5? 2. I have one another question, How BlockChain deciding to the longest chain is Block1, Block2, Block5, Block7, Block8, Block12 or Block1, Block2, Block5, Block7, Block9, Block11 or Block1, Block2, Block5, Block7, Block9, Block10? Is there any code any wrote it or timestamp or what? 3. As you told us we are adding a block in the longest chain, and other chains are not used further. So that means, that blocks are no longer exist (deleted it) or store it somewhere?

whenever there are two or more chains of same length, the miner selects any one of them randomly, as told by Sir.

@@divyamverma3668 That I already know. But my question is how they can select a random chain? Is there any way or algoritham?

@@shivanishah1612 it is democratically choosen by miners. the chain which is choosen by most miners is selected. it is in the PoW algorithm

Answer to your 3rd question: These orphaned blocks, with the validated transactions inside them, will be discarded once the longest chain is selected. So my understanding is that a transaction, say Alice->Bob: Rs.50, is validated and added in an orphaned block, then this validated transaction is also discarded and the transaction is deemed unsuccessful. Alice will get a transaction failed message and will have to retry to send the 50 rupees to Bob. So the many transactions in all orphaned blocks are all failed transactions and have to be retried. Only the transactions in the longest chain are successful. This is why the throughput will be very low, i.e., the number of successful transactions out of the total submitted transactions, will be very low.

Hi.. sir I have questions in chapter 4: What happened to orphaned block when longest chain selected and any tempering in orphaned block can have any effects in blockchain ?

The orphaned block transaction data shift to new child of longest chain and put into it.

afaik all the orphaned blocks are already there in the longest chain. Branches are formed when multiple miners come with a same block.
