Nicely explained. As a patient who has just gone through an MRI Cardiac Stress test, this has been very informative in how Cardiac Consultants actually work out what is needed, even before a Cardiac Stress test is initiated. Good work.

3 yrs ago (@63j I had a ct angiogram :: cac:0, no vessel disease, unremarkable valves. No afib, RHR 48. I run 6k/day, do CrossFit 3d/week just ran sub 60 10k ., vo2max 50. A new cardiologist wants me to have a stress test next. What the chances of going from “no vessel,disease” 3 years ago to 75% blockage when I’m plant based and keep apoB

The physicians assistant ordered a nuclear stress test on me. I don't know why, she didn't explain anything about it. It came back just fine. She said no-one orders just the standard treadmill stress test anymore. My EKG before I saw her showed some conduction blocks ,which then lead to heart failure a couple months later. I have never been overweight ,or had a high cholesterol or high blood sugar. My complaints were arrhythmias.

Are stress tests only for narrowing of the arteries or are they also done for Arrhythmias?
