Excellent content in this one. I used periodic boundary conditions for sub-scale modeling of structures in finite elements, but they're much less common in FEA so I had to write code explicitly linking nodal degrees of freedom. Cool that it's more out-of-the-box in CFD land.

I am very excited for the next class! I have spent a lot of time messing around with boundary conditions, the meshing process is the hardest. But seeing the math behind everything is quite fascinating.

90% of user time resides in preprocessing. Large air-framers spend most of their time at this part of the process. Research is focused on moving user time (e.g. the engineers) from grid creation to post-processing.

@@SAEMiller I bet it is very exciting getting accurate results. Is there ever a point in time where you can take the results at face value? That is where the whole conundrum is in the first place. My question is, are there instances where this can be acceptable.
