Good stuff indeed. But I would have put the animation before the calculation, directly after the definition of convolution. It would have made the calculation much easier to understand.

At 11:45 the horizontal coordinates on the plot of the time-shifted h should be -t-1 and -t, respectively. Remember "look forward shift left".
@aniketmehtaiitmandi62782 жыл бұрын
it would be t-1 and t itself lets us consider t>0 => shifting the graph of h(-T) towards the right (delaying the signal) hence the left extreme must be greater than -1 by t units and right extreme from 0 by t units in the positive side . hence left extreme must be -1 + t since it must be greater than -1 just in case if you take -1-t the it would be less than -1 actually (advancing the signal) which in turn is wrong same goes for case when t
@johntraben94815 сағат бұрын
I didn’t buy his explanation of t can be positive and negative. The plot should have been -t-1 to -t. So the derivation afterwards is all wrong in the sense that t should have been -t. I suppose he the animation at the end does not represent x(T) • h (t-T) rather x(T) •h(-t - T). Anyway, I came to the comment section to look for a comment like this. Glad to see I’m not the only one.
