In this video I cover the basics of how the electric power system works in control line model airplanes. The system is not too complicated but can be confusing, especially when trying to decide what is necessary. This video is filmed in First Person View in a hands on manor. My intent is to illustrate the fundamentals of how the system works in order to help you understand what is needed.
The timer I am using is a basic Hubin FM-0c timer which I consider the easiest one to use. There are other option but this one seems to be the easiest wrap your head around.

I tried this back in the seventy’s, never got off the ground, but it did taxi some. Old batteries of that era, and low power motors didn’t help.

The brushless motors and LiPo batteries are game changers. I have been messing with electric power since the early nineties. Electric is the way...

@@feman43 I tried a motor from a slot car, in a Guillow's kit. And ran .010 copper break wire from a couple of lantern batteries through the control handle . Everything worked well but very low power. This was in 73 to 75 so I feel I was a very early unsuccessful pioneer……..

Sorry Doyle. I haven't a shop for selling electric products. I probably should but the market is very small.
