You can use either, as long as you use the correct formula that corresponds to it. Since it's confusing, stick to one formula and not the other. Your professor must have given you a formula so stick to that one.

Sir,while getting integral why you didn't distrubute the (x+2)to cos term.And then xcos(npix/5)+2cos(npix/5) .after we see that xcos(npix/5) this makes 0 because x is odd cos is even prudoct of them makes zero .after then we just integrate the 2cos(npix/5) ...Am i right or not :D i m not sure. **i find my mistake the reason it is not symmetric domain
