How we have different bna

Well, the Internet says we all have 99.9% same DNA and the 0.1% difference comes from DNA insertions, substitutions and deletions. But as far as I know, we all have DNAs with the same pairs ( Adenine - Thiamine, Cytosine - Guanine) but the sequences are not the same. For example, Your DNA might have some structure like this, ATACGGTAC and TATGCCATG on the two strands and I may have something like this, TCGGATCG and AGCCTAGC on the two strands. We have the same pairs but different sequences. That is my understanding of this topic. If you have any other explanation, I'm open to being wrong:)

to ask a question < as i know RNA is single stranded and# DNA is double stranded but we are deciding that adenine paired with uracil in #RNA instead of thymine as in DNA ....#?.is there base pairing in RNA? If so why we say them as they are single stranded?????

Here we go! An amazing question! Let me share what I know. So you know all the organelles right? Of all of them, ribosomes are the ones that can make proteins. But the code for proteins comes from DNA (and note that DNA can not leave the cell). So how do these codes go from the nucleus (DNA) to ribosomes? The answer is, through RNAs. There are 3 types of RNAs: Messenger RNAs(mRNA), Transfer RNAs(tRNA) and Ribosomal RNAs(rRNA). The messenger RNAs are the ones that carry the code from the nucleus to the ribosomes. Pay attention here! Let's say the code for protein is A-G-T-C (Adenine Guanine Thiamine Cytosine) on the DNA. RNA will not carry it this way. It carries it in the form U-C-A-G (Uracil Cytosine Adenine Thiamine) Anything you noticed? These are the pairs we are talking about. Instead of taking Adenine as Thiamine, it takes it as Uracil.

DNA vs gene??

DNA is a nucleic acid made up of nitrogenous bases, pentose sugar (Deoxy ribose - ribose with some oxygen atoms removed from it) and phosphate. DNA + histone gives a chromosome. This is what we generally refer to as "the genetic material." Gene is a specific section on the chromosome that codes for a specific character. It is what we call a unit of heredity.
