Dear Sir, Please clarify anything wrong here ? 3:41 - Triangle on the "right" compares to triangle on the "left" (the red line you have just drawn ==> Should it be x-line direction and the other one should be y-line direction (meaning other way around)? That is x = mg sin (theta) and y = mg cos (theta) ?
@huyanhle3 жыл бұрын
Sir, Please compare carefully situation between 7:14 and 8:44. To me, it is "the same" Seem to me that you are treating object moving to the "Right-Hand-Side" direction is "+ve". Right? Hence, Fx = -ve as object moves Left-Hand-Side in 8.44 ==> ax = -ve ==> 7:14 = 8:44, that is, Fx = -Fg - Fk
@mohitforimprovement2 жыл бұрын
@@huyanhle Yes, that's true. As long as we stick to one frame of reference. We should be getting the same answer. we should be getting both the magnitude and direction correct.

20:38 this is debatable, making it come to a stop makes it seem like there is friction on the incline which is not included in calculations. gravity will ultimately pull the block back down. what i did was multiply the time it takes to get to its max height by 2, which is saying that it will reach a max height and then go back to where it started.

i loveyouru videos and you do a great job explaining everything, but at 1:40.. you should have used the bottom line as x as it is parallel to the x axis of the incline and should have used y as the line perpendicular to the incline. because you did it backwards i had to keep in mind that for every formula you gave for sin and cosine, i had to switch them. just saying..but other than that great job and thank you very much.

For getting Fx why are you using sin instead of cos? I thought we would always use cos for x and sin for y like in kinematics?
@jonathanbyrdmusic4 ай бұрын
It is not intuitive, but think about a shallow ramp, say 10°. Most of mg will be directed downward. Cos of 10° will be nearly 1, whereas sin will be very small. So mg toward the ground will be cos theta and mg down the shallow ramp will be sin theta.
