When Mary Leaky was asked when we would figure out the evolutionary process of early man, she said "we will never figure it out".

When did she say this? I’ll wager she never said this. If so, she would have been woefully incorrect. We understand a great deal about the evolutionary process, and understood a great deal about it during Leaky’s life. Of course, she’d be amazed at how the discoveries connected to the human genome have transformed science and contributed to the science of evolution. I wonder what she would think of all the dumb and ignorant people who don’t have the ability to comprehend new scientific discoveries? Pity them perhaps?

That's a fascinating quote! Mary Leakey was a renowned paleoanthropologist, and her statement might have been a reflection of the complexity and fragmentation of the fossil record, particularly for early human ancestors. However, significant recent discoveries and developments in fields like genetics, paleogenomics, and geochronology have since shed more light on human evolution. While there is still much to learn, scientists have made substantial progress in reconstructing the human evolutionary journey. Leakey's statement might have been a testament to the challenges and limitations of her time, but it also highlights the importance of continued exploration, research, and innovation in uncovering the secrets of human evolution. #discoveries

nice slides. Can you make a video regarding medial/distal fragments/ angular debris? i am taking an undergraduate lithics course, in which i am needed identify the differences between complete striking platforms and broken fragments. There are not any videos out there to help distinguish the differences between flakes without ripples and proximal platforms, so it is hard to identify some flakes that may be complete despite the visible absence of these features.
