This is the abc of qs for measurement. But nowdays with highly computerisation, we use Excel to book, transfer qty. With future digitalisation, electronic bq will be used to input the code, to save hassle of manual dimension paper. With 5Dbim trend, Qs must be future ready for mastering the model and integrate with quantity export. There is no point to learn the same good stuff in our grandparent era, but basic understanding of how to book dimension still needs to know.
