Introduction to Microsoft Syntex
This is an introduction video to Microsoft Syntex which used to be called as SharePoint Syntex. We start by looking at its history back when it was part of Project Cortex and how it transformed. I then switch gears and talk about how it utilizes SharePoint Content types, spent a few minutes explaining content types as well. Next, I talk about the pre-built and the custom model options available and the differences. Finally, I end with a demo on how I use the pre-built receipts model for my day-to-day activities. This is the first of many more videos on this topic.

I have always used Google drive. One drive only as corporate backups. The scanning titbit was awesome. Been using onedrive for so long to only know this now. 🙏

Your welcome. Yeah, I love that feature. I've also used it for occasions when I would meet with the team for planning sessions and do white boarding, then at the end, I'd take pics of that white board.

One question through... how did you use OneDrive App to scan and then get the documents saved into the SharePoint Library? Thanks again.

Hey Douglas, Glad you found the video helpful. So when you access the OneDrive app, it will have all the SharePoint libraries that you have access to. This is why I was able to see them without doing any additional settings.

@@DanielChristian19 One more question, The ContentType Gallery in the Admin Centre, is it the equivalent to the ContentType Hub in SharePoint on-premise where you created the CT and then It propagates through to all the Site Collections?

Good question! So the backend of what this is AI Builder receipts model. Here's a MSFT doc. I found using the OneDrive mobile app so much more easier to use than a customized Canvas app. SharePoint Syntex integration with AI Builder and Power Automate allows you to create and use AI Builder document processing models directly from your SharePoint document library, and to automate the processing of forms. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/sharepoint-overview

Thanks for posting this Dan, just like you i would want to activate it just for myself in my personal tenant. Would you suggest if i buy one Syntex licence or opt with "pay as you go"?

I haven't tested the pay-as-you-go so can't make any recommendations there. I purchased a single license for testing.
