Hi David, Mark here from the States. I just found your channel and subscribed. I'm a retired Aerospace engineer with a keen interest in clocks as well. I have only a few shop tools (mostly woodworking) and have no plans at the moment for more. But I love tinkering. My passion is building with A. C. Gilbert Erector Sets (it's like Meccano to you in the UK) with the old stuff, all metal, from the 1920-1950's. In fact, I've build a fully functioning Grandfather clock that keeps time pretty well. Learned clock mechanisms via KZbin and just started tinkering. Two years later and I have a 7 1/2 foot tall clock in my den. I continue to tinker with it quite often making little improvements as I learn more. Or adding functionality like moon phase and calender functions. Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself and say I'll be following your projects with interest.

@@davidhaggarty I would love to show you my Erector clock. I am a member of the A. C. Gilbert Historical Society and have written a 12 page article on the build that is scheduled to be published in the groups June newsletter. I'd be happy to share a draft copy of that with you if you like. Can you share with me here your contact email to which I can send this copy? I'm using the mobile version of KZbin and it oddly doesn't show up in this case. 🤔
