Thinking upgrading from Miller 141 to a Miller 211, but saw cyclone 212 and cyclone 200e. Currently doing automotive / autobody repair and was just checking to see if you thought the quality was good enough to upgrade to as well weld quality.

His wire was going into an open groove. When you do, that does happen. Plus it didn't look like he was connected direct with the work clamp and that makes a difference in smaller migs.

Hey man I’m running 6010 and I was wondering if I could store them in my oven
@Anchorarms69
@Anchorarms69 3 жыл бұрын
You shouldn’t need to for 6010. The only rods that you need to keep in an oven are low hydrogen, the most common being 7018.
@brandonbuss3224
@brandonbuss3224 3 жыл бұрын
Don’t store 6010 in a rod oven. You want them to have 3-7% moisture in them. If they have less they will flake and finger nail on you.

Have you X-rayed this root and what was the result ?
@blueweld75
@blueweld75 3 жыл бұрын
Iam a X - ray guy. Its common for pipe welds in fab shots to be welded like this , then shot and passed. Folks fail going up hill or down hill regardless. I was on an Api 1104 job and there where some welds that had more than the allowable lack of fusion or lack of pen in the weld and specifically at the root due to this process. With the down hill you will have more of a flatter bead inside the pipe then say with an up hill 6010 smaw . Over all they hold and get banged out quick in a fab shop.

Everlast with the factory gun. Shit liners, shit guns. Sometimes shit drive rolls too.
@marklugo6002
@marklugo6002 2 жыл бұрын
@@hypnolobster Have you used them? You do realize that Miller has used this same gun right? Before they were bought out by ITW and had bernard at their disposal, and Lincoln and ESAB use the same drive roll mechanism. Overall we have almost no issues reported with these guns unless someone runs a cart over the gun, or coils them in a 1 foot diameter roll by wrapping them around a gas cylinder. Never have gun issues or liner issues otherwise. Occasionally a switch gets dirty, but the design has been around for 30+ years and is a proven, widely adapted and used design.
