@@greatescapefarms do you sell pawpaw seeds? Or any other seeds I looked on your website but didn't see any, thanks
@greatescapefarms2 ай бұрын
@@davidhart8575 I'm sorry I do not sell seeds. Believe it or not it cost WAY more to get a license to sell seed than it does to sell live plants.

We use to hunt pawpaws in my grandparents woods.

Awesome. How were they? Some wild ones are good and others are a little bitter.

Good video, but this drought is not a bad one at all, if you had mulch you'd need no rain water for the in ground plants at least. (potted plants of course totally different story) I haven't had to water anything at all for years. Lots of towns have yard waste places that will give you unlimited free mulch but you may be out in middle of no where more-so, so maybe making your own is easiest

Can pawpaw grow in Houston, Texas?
@greatescapefarms2 ай бұрын
I looked up the growing zone in north Houston which shows as zone 9a/9b. I've found some information saying it will grow down to zone 8b. According to KSUs website linked below it will grow through zone 8 but there may not be enough chill hours near the gulf coast. Here is the link: www.kysu.edu/academics/college-ahnr/school-of-anr/pawpaw/pawpaw-planting-guide.php

We have to stop calling it North America’s largest native fruit. It is not. It is only the largest native fruit to the US and Canada. North America’s largest native fruit is probably the Mamey Sapote in Mexico. They can be the size of a nerf football or larger.
@greatescapefarms2 ай бұрын
Agreed. I'll word it correctly in future videos. Sorry for any confusion.

Well, man.... Mexico technically isn't north America. That would be central

@@bleedblue769 lol.... Central America is literally a sub section of "North America" so no, you are "technically" wrong. There is only North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica. Those are the 7 continents of the world.

Yea I don't water at all year around, I'm in his drought. I have inches of mulch. It is wet under there while neighbors grass is dying from heat
