It seems there is a typo on last example. It should read index is even (4), not index is odd.

for the absolute value you say if n is even then basically use absolute value but then we come across question 3 at time 8:11 and you didn't put the absolute value symbol around. You said because x squared will always be positive, that doesn't make sense and you never explained what you meant by it.

okay i know this is late but for anyone who ever watches this video and needs help this is why, If the index is even and the exponent on the simplified expression is odd that's when you would need to add absolute value hope that helps

so for number 3 they were both even so you did not need to add absolute value
