Hi, ben, your explanation is very easy and clear as crystal but still one thing I am still confused with.. what about AJAX and jQuery, i guess it is still serves the purpose, what's the big deal ??? lets assume that I use ajax to pull out latest posts data for a blog with the help of php and the user interface still can be changed accordingly with javascript or jQuery, isn't enough to satisfy our purpose ???? I hope I can be convinced:)

The video says that updating the graph when the user clicks a checkbox or something is easy (capture the event). It's also easy to do the same thing in JS when the data is updated (no data scanning required because you know when data has arrived). I understand this from a framework, neat code perspective, but is there really a performance argument vs simple vanilla js?

This is the worst video on React. Do not bother watching it. It is basically the OPs thoughts on everything but React. Does little to explain background, terms and how it all ties together.
