Couldn't agree more. Been here for 15 years and hiking in Red Rock Canyon and surrounding desert is my weekly addiction and personal prescription for health and wellness.

Been to Red Rock Canyon many times and really love it! I love to drive up Zion NP and hike there as well but Red Rock is much closer. I will be spending the whole day at Red Rock this Wednesday and can't wait. Very special place to see and hike at. I feel sorry for the people that come to Vegas just to gamble but never drive up to this beautiful place to enjoy it.

I was there this past week, and it's breathtaking. I can't put into words how beautiful and mysterious this place is. I was amazed by the landscape, and the rock formations. I live in VA, and just loved this part of Vegas. I could juat sit there and stare for hours. 😲

Good video. I was born and raised in Las Vegas and Red Rock is one of my favorite areas to visit. The only issue is that they now charge $15 a person to visit. When I was a kid, 60's and70's, Red Rock was free to everyone. I feel that nature should be afforded and accessible to every US citizen, despite money. However, I do admit that the money does go to keeping Red Rock maintained and they do a good job. I have been to other parks in the US that charge entry fees, and they are poorly maintained and lacking. So thanks to those who manage this park. Finally, Iike it that they allow drones to fly in the park while the National Park Service has alright banned drone flights without so much as public hearing. For example, you cannot fly drones at nearby Lake Mead National Recreation Center (partof the National Park System) citing is disturbs nature and the experience. Makes no sense when you look at the tourist helicopters, motorboats, motor cycles, drunken parties, generators from RVs and on and one.

Richard C cool ya I noticed 10 months ago it was $7 now it’s $15 but the year pass for $30 is probably the best deal or even $80 for seniors for lifetime membership 👍🏽 I’ve been living in Vegas for about 15 months now and idk in gods earth why I have not visited this gem! But I will be buying my annual pass this weekend can’t wait! 😀🚴🏽♂️🧗🏽♂️🏜💎

First Creek was my faithful place to go when up there. I have clocked many miles and hours up there, just hiking and wondering about. I don't go back to the 60's, but mid 70 to way into the 2000's. Moved few yrs back. Red Rock has whatever you want, from casual to extreme hiking. I love to climb but never caught onto the scaling or free styling thing. Just me and a light pack, sometimes not even that.

I'm glad that they don't allow people to fly their drones in a beautiful natural setting and ruin the peace and solitude for everyone else. If I wanted to see noisy mechanical flying objects I'd visit an airport.

If the $15 is going towards towards the canyon and workers who try to protect them then I'm willing to pay for the cost and I wont complain.

Born and raised in Vegas, probably spent hundreds and hundreds of ours up there, since age of 13. I'm 56 now....never ever seen one rattle snake, can't even remember seeing its skin sheddings. Anyways, I loved it up there! But then the migration from California hit, early to mid 80's. Thus comes the fees, huge foot traffic and everything else you can imagine. I stayed away from places you have to pay, which is ok, I had always preferred the lessor frequented areas for hiking and solitude anyways.
