It makes me realise how many gem like verses have we yet to know more about. Though poets like Smith are significantly missing in our regular curriculam, the beauty of their works shines brighter

I see from the title it is an Introduction. Will you be doing follow up sessions to this? It would be great if so but appreciate there is a plethora of potential areas. I am slowly widening my area to include more diverse poetry forms.I am going to persue Auden and Larkin more. Are these poets you may consider to present on? I really appreciate and enjoy your sessions. You have an engaging, genuine and spontaneous approach. Many thanks for your hard work Adam

@@davidwinston9440 So kind of you to say. Thank you, David! I have four videos in a playlist on the Greater Romantic Lyric published now on KZbin, but next year I'll host separate courses on these specific movements. Probably not in order. May start with Romantics for fun! Auden and Larkin are to come in the Modernist lectures and in the more focused course on Modernism and late modernism next year! kind of you to ask.

Dear Adam, I was hoping you might recommend any scholarly introductory books into the Romantic Era (to assist reading of the primary sources). I am doing a non-English degree but truly literature owns the lease of my heart. I am hoping to be well acquainted with all of the English poetry cannon by the time I apply for my second degree. Separately, do you have an email which I could use? With best wishes, Dillon

Hey Adam, i know you made a video listing all the booka you use at Harvard. But what book would you recommend for learning the in's and out's of poetries history? Im thinking from like Milton-forward... I want to be better versed in expressing the history of poetry.

Some excellent general definitions of Transcendentalism, though personally I prefer the idea of the subject person connecting to the object humanity through some of those ineluctable connections like belief, genetics, and tradition. It is for me a connection of the present to the past and future.

Hello! Can you discuss in your upcoming videos other poems written by William Blake (for example: Proverbs of Hell or some poems from Songs of Innocence and of Experience) and some by Lord Byron? I really liked the other videos you made and I hope you will consider my request! Thank you!

It's seems pretty romantic to claim that being poorly adapted to an imperfect system raises the question of who is well, and that it is that there are those who have to ask or remark upon this, and that there is some solitary wretch...
