When you begin talking about time shifting for continuous time at 4:24, were the labels flipped between x(t) and x(t-t_0)? Thank you Dr. Kutz

Imagine t0=-1 second for example for the case he shows. If you now take t=0 as you starting time, the upper signal will have a value of something indicated with the yellow dot. If you insert in the lower function, you get x(0-1) equal to that same value. So a positive value of t0 'drags' the signal to the left.

It depends on the origin of the signals, which was not given. In a sense, they are both sines and cosines 😉
