The ultimate purpose of the dark net: To be able to violate Chinese, Iranian and North Korean laws while not being able to break American or European laws. Of course, a system that cannot do the latter is useless for the former. Global freedom depends on the existence of crime with impunity. If they can trace the drug dealers, then it's no good for political protest either. Too many laws everywhere anyway.

im a regular visiteur to tor i enter all kind of website and i notice most onion doesnt work i want to know what is the problem i even doawnload software for proxy change
@randomvideos-df1gx9 жыл бұрын
Because part of the reason of tor is to help stay anonymous. So the site will change from host to host so the site address will change or the person who made the onion site may no longer want it so he shuts it down. It may even be that an onion site looks like it's just a normal website but those who may be in the know know better IE like the bear that keep popping up on 4 Chan at first it looked innocent but those who were in the know knew it was pedobear. Even tho it is " anonymous" if it stays in one location then eventually the feds becomes aware of it the feds shut it down or if the host/creator becomes away that the heat is on he/she will drop it and move on to make a new one. Like what was seen with silkroad only in that case the feds shut it down after a long time and arrested the owner so a new person made the silkroad 2.0. I equate it to street dealers in the big city's the longer he deals on that one street more and more people becomes aware of him with can lead to the police knowing he is there but if he keeps hopping from street to street it may be longer before he becomes aware because he keeps moving from one cops beat to another cops beat.

Something I have heard about is there was a onion twitter type clone were most thought it was just that but apparently the sick fucks who were in the know knew it was created for CP. How true that is I don't know I had no desire to really find out.
@nunyabiznez63819 жыл бұрын
James Martin I don't know what today's statistic is but not long ago 56% of all internet content was porn, 22% of internet porn is illegal and one third of that is CP. Supposedly most of that comes from Eastern Europe.
@randomvideos-df1gx9 жыл бұрын
nunya biznez I know all about that. I just was just talking about the twitter clone that you need a Tor browser to get to it
@randomvideos-df1gx9 жыл бұрын
nunya biznez the sad part of it is that those numbers are just from the surface web. There will never be a way to really know the real numbers that will include the hidden internet. Because they are not indexed by search engines and the site address is just a bunch of random number and letters strung together with a .onion at the end

+Dark Ace Magic Using Tor or visiting the page lands you on the NSA watchlist (regardless if Tor winds up being anonymous or not), and if you aren't stealthy enough and setup things the way Tor tells you to, you can still be caught anyway. So if someone is planning to use Tor to hire a contract murderer, if they aren't properly setting up all of their Internet settings to protect everything, even with Tor, they can still be arrested. So, basically, don't be a criminal.

Is it right to say, that with Tor your machine is the host of itself and uses anonymously connections of other machines, which are also anonymous inside Tor network, to reach websites and resources in servers???
@pietroaretino63908 жыл бұрын
No. Because you're not really anonymous. You're data is encrypted in the Tor network, however, the routers between you and the next Tor node could easily be monitored and log activity. You --> Comcast ISP --> 1st Tor Node --> AT&T ISP --> 2nd Tor Node --> Cox ISP --> 3rd Tor Node --> Telecom Italia --> Website. If Comcast, AT&T, Cox, and Telecom Italia decide to work together and share log files, they can retrace yoursteps, not to mention the last connection to the website is unencrypted. If you wanted to attempt to be as anonymous as possible, you'd have to use a bunch of Proxies, tunnel yourself through a really really good VPN that does not log, nor monitor your (client) connections, and then use TOR on top of that, while you're connected to someone else's internet connection, like a hotspot, and have a removable NIC or like wifi card that you can discard later so the MAC can't be traced, or have a NIC that has a bogus MAC address, or a way to spoof or change your MAC address everytime.

@nunyabiznez63819 жыл бұрын
rickyleeufc If you really want anonymity, take your android and place it on the sidewalk. then take a hammer and smash it until the biggest piece will fit through the eye of a needle. Then to go your local thrift store and buy a used laptop and pay cash. Then find out what businesses in your neighborhood offer free wifi and get their password. Now you are anonymous. Do not type any identifiable info into your laptop such as account numbers. Don't use it to pick up email. If you want bit coins go to Walmart and buy Walmart gift cards and pay cash then barter their numbers over the internet for bit coins. A lot of people will give you bit coins in exchange for valid gift card numbers. Always pay cash. Never use your own name. Always use a proxy server. Never ever connect to your home internet service or your employer's internet service with your burnable laptop. And when you are done, pull out the hard drive and destroy it with a rare earth magnet and don't forget to wipe your prints off the keyboard before you put it in the dumpster.

How do I know even with a randomly generated IP address it will keep me anonymous for the most part and make tracking harder? Assuming that the randomly generated IP address is one already existent, and assuming I would be the only one using the IP address given, how do I know that using the IP address, it can't be tracked back to the device that I am using?
@malcolmjr6229 жыл бұрын
+14littledude Okay so the common misconception people have with Tor is that they can just say what they want because why not? You're protected through 3 layers of encryption. Wrong. Tor only provides encryption from NODE to NODE. Technically speaking your data is NOT encrypted if it is not using a SSL extensions (https).

quick question! NOT ;) I`ve heard something about online companies that sells products. in a way (by cookies or tracking IP`s or maybe by other means) knows what a consumer usualy are willing to spend on products, no matter if you log on from home computer, work computer. Meaning that the price shown to you, is the price they think you are willing pay. So if I understand it correctly, one would be able to circumvent this price with TOR Browser. and see the actually Price for the product and save some Money? I suppose of course that it would lose some anonymity if you order products through. TOR. but just seeing how much they try up the Price could be nice. Remember that English is not my mother tongue and I am not an IT geek (unfortunately) but working on it. Thumbs up to Eli!!!

@lelandclayton546210 жыл бұрын
Remember TOR was created by the US Navy and DARPA in the 90s so I think the NSA has had plenty of time to find ways to track people. In all you're still connected to the web from your ISP. Yes the "TOR" is connected to a private network but the rest of the system is connected to your ISP. You're ISP sees you connected to TOR but can not track your where abouts while using TOR. I haven't played with it much myself but from what I was told it's only good for HTTP use and doesn't work with Bittorrent and such. Now what a lot of people dont know is when you create a TOR connection it will ask about participating as a EndNode. Bad idea because the EndNode can be seen so if you're a EndNode and some user is using your system's IP and DNS and downloads 1GB of illegal data or what have ya, you can get the blame. True Darknet from back in the day was using VPN, Proxies with Newsgroups, FTP, BBS, IRC and a Dial-up Modem. Not to mention knowing the right people.

+david baird the only thing you really have to worry about is virus/malware/ect. pics, vids,and other stuff that you wish not to view just click the back button or X the page out you can not get into trouble for accidently stumpling onto something that you did not know what it was.

+Jennifer Franklin You're sadly mistaken.. Once you click something like that there isn't going 'back'. What if the feds hid a JDB in any link? A JDB will compromise someones host machine faster than anything, and a simple back or exit won't fix it.

Why on earth doesn’t he mention that all the computers shielding your anonymity are ENCRYPTED!!!!!!!! An extraordinary oversight on his part not to mention ENCRYPTION!!!!!!

yoyoyo, great vid Eli... made me think if we can use the "darknet protocol" on our, say home server. would it be any safer from outside intrusions? that is, if anything like the "darknet protocol" exsists. keep up!

Great video. Why though say "Eli" "Eelai" and not "Ehlee". I have a son Eliahu who goes by "Eli" "Ehlee", almost all the Yidden who even give that name pronounce it such. By the way are you Elijah or Eliezer? )I have also a son Eliezer. "Ehlee" pronounced. Sorry for the Mishagos, just am a guy who is curious about user names, names, their spellings or motive like Nudniks such as me who might use a username like "Dumkopf"

Sadly in today's world, you have to explain multiple ways and constantly clarify stuff to avoid liability. When he did the hacking lessons he reiterated countless times about the kiddies being on their own if they illegally do it.
