12OOO starts to be a bit high for a model number.

Yet it's a valid model number. But at $5000+, it's not exactly aimed at home use.

You can purchase one as an accessory.

@@catherinet.223 Yes, you can if you're buying one for yourself, but it appears the scanner available in the library doesn't have that. With the transparency adapter, you can scan negatives up to 4"x5". Scanners capable of doing that are quite expensive - which is why having one in the library would be so nice.
