Watching this video, I felt a great disturbance in the rope, as if billions of atoms suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly jostled. I fear a wave has happened.

WOW !!! Every time I watch a video of yours I get astonished by how simple and yet in a interesting way, you explaain everything. And I mean everything. No matter what the subjects is, if I'm having some problems with trying to understand sth and its giving me headaches, I just say to myself: "Gee, I sure hope Sal has made a video on that." And most of the time, you have. It's like you understand absolutely everything and you're like 10x better than any of my teachers.

Whether I pass my medical admissions test or not, your videos have been a big help for someone like me -- I've graduated college 7 years ago, and I am now a physical therapist. I just decided to pursue medical school, so I have to take the medical college admissions test. It's been a long while since I last read my chemistry and physics books, so I have to admit, my brain is now rusty on those areas. Your videos, and the way you teach made it so much simpler for me to get back on track. Thanks!

What I haver never understood is how Huygens principle could ever be applied to visible light: light density diminishes with (the square of the) distance until it disappears completely. So the idea of secondary waves keeping the main wave going certainly does not apply to visible light.
@bikrantasarkar8 жыл бұрын
why did you plotted the graph for longitudinal wave by taking the top part of the compression and lower part of the rarefaction???why not vice versa?
@rishabhjain12947 жыл бұрын
Bikranta Sarkar Abe ullu keep pathe
@nat-en5rt6 жыл бұрын
He plotted the graph according to the density of the region in the air, the compression zones have a higher density so he plotted such that the highest point on the graph would be the middle of the compression zone, vice versa for the rarefaction zone.
