Requiem 1971 by Karl Bohm is my favorite musical album of all time.

I own near 20 versions of the Requiem and this is by far the Best.

I can understand why you like Karl Böhm. IMHO Böhm is one of the very best conductors when it comes to W. A. Mozart! This is excellent (far better than Karajan who always puts him or his ideas first) but I prefer Bernstein (Beyer Version).

@@MusikPiratCHYES you're absolutely correct. Karl Bohm's interpretation of Mozart's REQUIEM is, I would call it, LEGENDARY, HISTORICAL, never can be repeated afterwards, by any conductors. It is SO GREAT, it's TOWERING. Mozart would have jumped off from his seat and cried out in tears if he had listened to THIS performance of Karl Bohm and Vienna Philharmonic playing his masterpiece.

@@liauchungren848 For me haves the perfect slow tempo, not too slow like celibidache's or others, just the right tempo, sounds majestic and solemn.

So viel Gefühl!

Absolut! ... recently heard a Decca version also from Vienna State (Kertesz), he just rushes through it... Highly annoying when you are used to Böhm.

If you've never had a religious experience, or disbelieve, I challenge you to have a listen to Amadeus Mozart's Requiem & deny there is no God!
